Patients are advised to wear a standard medical mask to prevent the dispersion of droplets during HFNO therapy in order to protect healthcare workers and patients within a 2 meter radius.

HF60L is designed to minimize oxygen toxicity risk
Oxygen toxicity is lung damage that happens from breathing in too much extra (supplemental) oxygen. It's also called oxygen poisoning. It can cause coughing and trouble breathing. In severe cases it can even cause death.
HF60L is the only HFNC equipped with a special oxygen source connection port design to prevent malpractice. Once O₂ is supplied in excess quantities at higher flow levels, outgoing flow will decrease.
